The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Hohoe municipal assembly, Mr. Daniel Noble Awume on Wednesday 19th December 2022 inaugurated the child protection committee at the conference hall of the Hohoe municipal assembly.

 In a short address, Mr. Awume said the welfare of children must be a collective responsibility as it used to be in the past to guide them to become responsible adults in the future.

 Mr. Awume said, the upbringing of children should not only be for parents but society hence the need to revisit the past practices of training a child.

 Hohoe municipal child protection committee was established to serve as a child protection coordination committee in the municipality to oversee the coordination and implementation of the child and family welfare policy and the justice for children policy.

Mr. Awume urged parents to train their children not to become a burden on society despite the challenges.
