FURNITURE DISTRIBUTION TO BASIC SCHOOLS

The Hohoe Municipal Assembly has distributed 1,600 mono desks to 40 basic schools to improve teaching and learning.

At the presentation ceremony on July 13, 2026, Municipal Chief Executive Prosper Kumi said the desks, funded through the District Assemblies Common Fund, represent the largest single furniture distribution to schools in the municipality.

He announced that more furniture, including teachers’ tables and chairs, as well as furniture for 12 selected kindergarten schools, will be provided soon.

The member of parliament Mr Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo also pledged continued investment in education, revealing that a new school is under construction and that more school blocks and renovations are planned.

The initiative is part of efforts to improve educational infrastructure and learning conditions in the municipality.
