The workshop was officially opened by the Municipal Director, Janet Valerie Datsa (Ms.) accompanied by the Human Resource Manager, Dr. Solomon Amankwa, the Municipal Accountant, Mr. Peter Ayitey and Mr. Emmanuel Tsebie, Head of Planning and statistics who was also part of facilitators for the day. In her welcome address, the Municipal Director lauded the effort of JICA to improve learning outcomes in numeracy. She thereafter, urged all participants to take all presentations serious making sure they understand every bit of it for effective implementation.

The objective of the training was to equip Headteachers and Curriculum Leads from JICA COMPASS Partnership Schools and SISOs on organization and monitoring of remedial lessons to improve learning outcomes.
